We Are What We Eat…and Breathe, and Touch, and…

I’ve always thought that doing the greening thing in healthcare was the ideal setting…I mean, we all know that there’s a link between human and environmental health, so where better to champion greening than in hospitals, where we have a unique, first hand view of human health.

 Various medical groups, such as the Ontario Medical Association, regularly publish reports on the health impact of smog, even going as far to put a dollar figure on lost productivity, and recently a study out of McGill University linked air pollution to breast cancer.

 Now our friends at Women’s College Hospital’s Environmental Health Clinic are one of the sponsors of an environmental health conference being held on November 12 & 13 at – Women’s College Hospital…because even champions need a reminder from time to time…
