HealthAchieve, the premier healthcare conference in Ontario, just wrapped up for 2015. A quick glimpse at the highlights:

  • Martin Short (yes, that one from SCTV and Father of the Bride) was pretty hilarious and surprisingly poignant I must say
  • Captain Richard Phillips had some inspiring advice on flexible leadership (kinda key when looking down the barrel of a pirate’s gun)
  • Josh Linkner detailed the creative side of harnessing innovation, getting curious and craving “what’s next?”
  • Best of all, our own Ed Rubinstein participated in the Innovative Environmental Sustainability panel, and got to talk some trash (literally)

Oh, and a small detail, if you haven’t heard us tweet it out a hundred and two times or so, is that we won the Green Hospital of the Year award!  Yes, the one we wrote about and asked (ok, begged) you to vote for.

We also asked you who you think has shown pretty great individual leadership and you answered a resounding “Rita Soares!”. You may remember her from our green wall of fame. She keeps on keeping on in this push for sustainability.

There are many reasons why, but if you want all the juicy, organic details, read the UHN News Story, “Toronto Rehab named Ontario’s Green Hospital of the Year“. This is a great moment to celebrate, but also to ask “What’s Next?”. But for now, we’ll enjoy holding the award for just a teeny bit longer.
