This Friday at 1 pm, what are you doing? Lunch at your desk? Scrolling through emails? Catching ’em all on Pokemon Go? Performing surgery? Other than that last one, I have a better idea and it’s for the low price of free … come to the Monthly Health Talk at Toronto Western Hospital!

Slide from Monthly Health Talk: Environmental Hazards and Your Health by Lisa Vanlint

The topic this month is near and dear to us at Talkin’ Trash … Environmental Hazards and Your Health. I’ll speak about our favorite themes like avoiding toxics, saving energy (and $), transportation tricks, food (mmm, food) and more. Expect plain language, colourful slides and a lots of discussion at the end. There will be simple, solid takeaways for our everyday lives. It’s for patients, families, staff and community members … so that includes absolutely everyone.

For a wee flavour as to why, no one can say it better than Morgan Freeman (who, for the record, could read a software manual and make it an emotional journey).

So here are the deets:

  • Friday, July 29, 1 – 2:30 PM
  • Toronto Western Hospital, 399 Bathurst St. at Dundas
  • Auditorium, 2nd floor, west wing
  • Free!
  • light refreshments provided
  • Register by emailing Evangeline.Roldan@uhn.ca or call 416-603-6475

See you there!

Lisa
