The countdown is on to HealthAchieve 2016, the most major, massive, momentous healthcare conference in Ontario (no alliterating with H’s as a certain presidential candidate has really ruined the word “huge”). Set your clocks for Monday, November 7th for the festivities to begin.

What’s Happening?

You can see the whole schedule of events here, including special guest speakers like Amy Cuddy, The Honourable Dr. Eric Hoskins and Howie Mandel (for real). Though we at Talkin’ Trash with UHN have a totally unbiased favourite session in mind…

I’m looking forward to emceeing this truly innovative session featuring Raymond Wang. Raymond is an amazingly accomplished person already. He’s one of Canada’s top 20 under 20, winner of countless awards and prestigious science fair prizes, and star of TED talks. Best of all, he founded the Sustainable Youth Canada, a federally registered non-profit that empowers youth across Canada in energy and environmental sustainability.

Here’s a look at what he’ll talk about …

Power in the Collective – How the Next Generation is Changing Sustainability

In the world of climate change, energy crisis, and natural resource shortages, the up-and-coming generation of youth is not one to sit passively. As the founder of Sustainable Youth Canada (SYC), a Canadian non-profit with chapters from coast to coast run 100% by youth in high school and university, Raymond shares SYC’s founding story and aim of creating a national identity for youth to unite for sustainability, and highlights some of the initiatives, events, and actions that young people are taking to create a more sustainable future.

After the session, please take a stroll in the Healthy Green Promenade. From the HealthAchieve website…
