For those of you worried that Earth Month will be cancelled, worry no more! We have moved it to a month-long online event for everyone to participate. On Saturday, March 28th, we will be kicking off Earth Month with Earth Hour from 8:30pm-9:30pm (so turn off your lights) and starting on April 1st, a fun virtual scavenger hunt through several of our blogs, Research Intranet, and Corporate Intranet page. Also, we will have some webinars, like the one taking place on April 8th that connects the healthcare system, economy and environment, as well as, other fun activities – so stay tuned!

In other news, during COVID-19, everything has closed down; from gyms to dance studios to spas. People are forgetting to look after themselves! However, what if there was a way to still a way to get some exercise? Well great news! Warmer weather and no snow means bike season! If you need to go to work, or get a few groceries, that’s the way to go. When at a stop light, you can easily maintain a safe distance away from others and don’t have to worry about touching your face with your hands on the handle bars. This decreases your risk, decreases GHG emissions and gets you some much needed time to stretch your legs!

If you’re looking for other activities during these cancellations, there are tons of online and at home exercise videos, as well as, tons of ways to enjoy a little spa retreat at home. This is also a great time to do some spring cleaning and clear out any unnecessary clutter from your house. A lot of this stuff you can donate. If you need a little inspiration, I’d definitely recommend watching some Marie Kondo!
